I constantly share the inner workings of my artistic practice constantly (constantly). All of my learnings end up being shared, one way or another. One way or another, you end up hearing all my approaches and mindsets and mantras and everything.
Sometimes, other people pick up these learnings themselves, adopting them into their practices too. For example, the “normalise sharing scrappy fiddles” mantra has been adopted by quite a lot of people, more than I’m used to. The “let code die” mantra has also been picked up by a lot of people.
When this happens, a community sometimes forms around a mantra. When that happens, I get to watch my mantras getting watered down and dampened into pathetic imitations of the original intention.
